The actual boards are sheet aluminum, with high density foam for proper floatation. High quality Off Shore heavy duty release clips will not prematurely release with the strongest of baits. The large rear pigtail gives you option of allow the board to run down to swivel when a fish hits, so you do not have to retrieve it.
